  • Do I need to be fit to start with you?
Absolutely not. Everyone is welcome and every fitness level. No judgement, just support. Personal training is completely and utterly tailored to you, your current fitness level, and your goals. Classes can be layered with multiple options for exercises to suit individual abilities. Ultimately, if you want to get fitter, and feel empowered, you’ve come to the right place.
  • How will I feel after my first session?
You may experience some initial muscle soreness (DOMS – delayed onset muscle soreness) in the first session or two if you are using your muscles differently or more intensely, and periodically during the programme as you learn new movement techniques or as we take a progressive step forward. However, this will significantly dimmish overtime as you get stronger, and your muscles adapt. Please feel reassured that you are in safe hands, and we can take your progression as slowly as you want. In a class environment, you can do adaptive moves, take more rest, and do fewer reps to ease into the grove and develop at your own pace.
  • How many times a week does a typical client work out?
There are no ‘typical’ clients. Everyone is unique, with unique goals, time commitments and budgets. Some clients train 2-4 times a week, combining one-to-one sessions, classes and their own home-based session using the homework exercises given. Sessions can also be virtual, if need be, or if distance is a factor.
  • How do I schedule personal training sessions?
To support your success, we recommend setting up a recurring schedule of a consistent day(s) and time(s) for training. Consistency will help you develop the habit and embed your new fitness regime into your life. If you have a conflict with a schedule or need to make a change, please contact us with ample notice to make changes.
  • What if I can’t make a session or am ill?
A minimum of 24hours notice must be given to change or postpone a session, otherwise the session fee will apply. This also applies to class bookings. Ideally the postponed session should be taken within the same week where possible. See terms and conditions for further information.
  • How much does personal training cost?
Customised personal training with a professional trainer in a private setting is an investment in you! One-to-one personal training session (& 1:1 Pilates session) prices vary depending on your frequency of engagement. The most popular programme is one weekly 1:1 session (plus homework) which is £50 per session (payable in 4-week blocks in-advance, £200). The price of small group PT varies depending on numbers.
  • How much are your classes?
In-person Circuit Training classes are £12 (for one session payment) or £10 per person per class if you buy a bundle of 4 classes for £40. In-person Pilates classes are £15 (for one session payment) or £12.50 per class if you buy a bundle of 4 classes for £50. Online Pilates class is £10 per person, or bundle of 4 classes for £35.
  • What do I need to bring to my session or a class?
A positive attitude! Some water, and a sweat towel. Please also bring a mat to group classes.
  • Where does PT and the classes take place?
All training takes place in my garden on The Boundary in Langton Green, Tunbridge Wells. I opened the Firestone Fitness studio in October 2023 which houses all PT and also the small group classes. I have a dedicated outdoor decking area, and large outdoor space which is used as much as possible, particularly for the circuit training classes.
